Many people consider dr. Boris Nikolai Konrad as “the pinnacle of smartness”. He studied Physics and Computer Science simultaneously and obtained his PhD in Psychiatry in Munich on the neural foundations of exceptional memory performance.
He has since worked as a researcher at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behavior at Radboud University Nijmegen. In addition, he is an eight-time Memory Sports World Champion, holds four Guinness World Records, won Germany’s Super Brain and many other awards, including the 5-Star-Speaker Award.
During the time I worked on giving back memories to people suffering dementia (2016) I started working side-by-side with the best brain researchers and memory champions. I learned and experienced that memory can be transformed from a weakness into a powerful skill and became obsessed with making it applicable for everyone.
Together with Anton Knipper and dr. Boris Konrad I turned the secrets of memory champions into easy drills to help everyone improve their memory and productivity. Our methods resulted in Several World Records and are especially designed to make sure that what you learn, sticks.
Started with Fokko in 2016, I was always fascinated why we’re still bad at learning, while the effectiveness of mnemonics and the potential increase in learning ability has been scientifically proven in several studies and were already used by the ancient Greeks (~500 BC).
In today’s fast-paced world, with a multitasking epidemic and overwhelming amount of information, memory is critical for learning new skills. The better you learn, the faster you can apply new knowledge.
In my role at the company I am responsible for teaming up with our (new) client organizations to help them achieve their training goals.
